Many operational failures occur between steps: a call becomes a note but not an appointment, an estimate is written but not followed up, or a completed job never becomes an invoice. These handoffs are concrete places to begin.

The right product architecture follows the workflow and its risks. Sensitive data, customer expectations, error recovery, and human review should be designed before broad automation is added.

What to measure

Adoption alone is not an outcome. Track time returned to skilled work, missed-call recovery, booking accuracy, rework, customer response time, and the number of exceptions that require manual intervention.

A useful system becomes more trustworthy as its limits become easier to see and manage.
